My grunge phase has reasserted itself. No Nirvana this time though, no Bikini Kill, no Shonen Knife (sadly)

Instead, we have TAD, ex-tour mates/label mates of Nirvana. Rather an obscure grunge band (as opposed to Pearl Jam or Sonic Youth) but very good. Pure grunge, thank you very much. TAD, Plague Years

A band now who are more of a hardcore/alternative rock band, but then the line between that and grunge is a blurry one. Husker Du, Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely

More hardcore! (cue School of Rock quote. Oh, I am so not predictable) Black Flag, My War. Epic guitar line, is it not?

JESUS! Punk covers of soul songs are the absolute awesomest! The Slits, Heard It Through The Grapevine. Sadly Ari Up died last year.
